Invitation - Youth in the post-war reconstruction process
INVITATION
Dear Madam/Sir,
The Civil Society Organisations' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is pleased to invite you to the webinar the "Youth in the post-war reconstruction process" on 29 June 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Brussels time.
The panels will address the youth dimension of the war in Ukraine and the new youth realities following the conflict, which are particularly important in the context of this European Year of Youth (EYY).
By looking at the role of youth organisations in the reconstruction process, the speakers will discuss short- medium- and long-term challenges facing young people with a view to producing concrete proposals on youth empowerment.
The proposals will answer the following questions:
How youth and youth organizations could be supported in short-, medium-, and long term to make them more resilient, strengthen their capacity and their role in the reconstruction process?
What can the EESC do to help young people and to strengthen youth organizations?
The event will be opened by Mr Séamus Boland, the President of the Civil Society Organisations' Group, and moderated by the President of the EESC coordination group for the EYY Ms Katrīna Leitāne. The webinar will be an informal and fully virtual event in English only.
